First National Working Group:

The meeting of National working group was held on 2. 2. 2006 in Ostrava. The aim of this meeting was to introduce all participants to the project, presentation of the project´s aims and tasks and creation of the timetable of the project.

There was agreed to start education of social health assistants and the content of this education. It was decided that this education will be led by Health social faculty of University of Ostrava and Charles University and Drom, roma centre was set as a responsible organisation for this education.

The term of the trainings was set for april – july 2006.

There was also agreed that Universities will try to set this education program as a part of regular education programs and that The office of the Goverment of the Czech Republic will try to iniciate the institutionalization of social health assistants.

The last thing that was discussed in the meeting was preparation of specific part of the Manual. Also a new member met our National working goup on this meeting. Mrs. PhDr. Zuzana Havrdová, CSc, director of the department of management and supervision in social and health organizations on Charles University in Prague, who was interested in this project and wanted to cooperate in our  National working goup.
