After
the revision of the secondary sources and the methodology developed
by the Sastipen Network European System as well as other indicators,
it has been concluded, that this kind of data is very complicated
to obtain due to the fact that in most countries, to record this
sort of data is illegal and in any case quite difficult because
Roma and non Roma organizations consider that this data should not
be collected on ethnic bases. Furthermore, there is a fear to increase
the negative stereotypes about Roma communities and a tendency to
hide the use on the families themselves.
Nevertheless,
some partners have been able to present a general overview of the
situation of the Roma community in their own country.
