Headway made in combating discrimination in 2013-2014

In addition to these figures, the report refers to the

“hidden figure” of crimes that go unreported. While the

number of these crimes is not known, evidence would

indicate that it is very high, i.e. the results furnished by

the Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) in the EU Midis

Survey on Minorities and Discrimination

which calcu-

lates that 80% of the discriminatory acts in Europe go

unreported; figure that the Committee for the Elimina-

tion of Racial Discrimination believes to be 96% in the

case of Spain.
