From 6 to 8 September, the XXV Ordinary General Assembly was held to elect the new Permanent Committee that will represent the interests of young people in Spain in the coming years. The Spanish Youth Council (CJE) is the state entity that brings together youth organisations and councils, promoting the participation of young people in the political, social, economic and cultural development of Spain.

FSG and CJE have collaborated in promoting the participation of young Roma in recent years.

Juan Castellón, member of the Participation Facilitators Network of Fundación Secretariado Gitano, has participated in the actions of the CJE during the last two years, and now, he becomes part of the new Permanent Committee as a member for social action, anti-racism and hate speech.

FSG wishes Juan luck in his new stage within the CJE and we hope that his contribution will lead to great improvements in youth policies, and that these policies will also reach Roma youth.
